The school has been a charter school serving the Pahokee Community for 16 years with small classes and individual instruction to high school students. The school is an important alternative school choice for students
The school successfully taught an average of 100 high school students during the year. The school provided a learning environment for students that do well in small classroom settings where there is maximum student teacher interaction and instruction using a range of teaching methods. Each student was provided with an individualized academic plan and each is monitored by the school instructional staff and academic administration. The board provides summary oversight of the student plans and student progress at regular monthly meetings. Academic consultants provide enhancements to the program throughout the year stressing all areas of performance.
Provided a safe nurturing school setting that promoted emotional and social growth for all students while developing the self confidence and academic advancements needed to become active, productive citizens. The physical plant is maintained continually by its staff and with regular programed procedures.
Provided all students with extracurricular and curriculum based field trips to various educational locations in Florida to include museums, plays, and related activities. Also took all students to various recreational and social attractions to expand their horizons. Provided a broad summer camp program which included credit make up and related academics.
