Organizations Filed Purposes: The Chamber was organized for the purpose of advancing the economic, industrial, professional, cultural and civic welfare of the greater Miramar-Pembroke Pines area, including without limitation, the surrounding cities of Southwest Broward. The specific objectives of the Chamber are as follows: 1 To encourage the growth of existing industry and business while giving all proper assistance to new firms or individuals seeking to locate in the area 2 To support all of those activities deemed to be beneficial to the community and area 3 To oppose those activities deemed to be beneficial to the community and area 3 To oppose those activities that might be detrimental to the community and area 4 To promote the healthy development of the residential and business communities 5 To express the views of the business community on local, state and national issues.6 To further the business and professional interests of the Chamber members 7 To promote and enhance a better understanding of the relatio

The Chamber encourages and assists small business growth through the hosting of numerous networking events and sponsorship of various leadership and development programs.

The Chamber's Women In Business Committee hosted 4 events during the fiscal year. The events were focused on developing women in business and in the work place through prominent educational speakers. Each event served an average of 60 women. The Chamber's largest business networking event during the fiscal year was the Sip & Taste event. The event brought together approximately 850 business owners and community leaders for a time of networking and building relationships. Finally, the Chamber continued its sponsorship of the annual Leadership South Broward program. The 8 month course is devoted to educating and empowering civic- minded professionals on excellent leadership skills.
