Organizations Filed Purposes:
The purpose of our organization is to put on a high quality arts festival for the Northwest Florida area. The festival occurs the first full weekend of November and runs for three days. The festival includes; a juried art show awarding $25,000 in cash awards, a performing arts stage featuring local and regional talents, a performing arts stage featuring several local and national performers, a Heritage Arts area featuring Crafts of the Past, a Childrens Arts Festival allowing hands on participation by local school children and a Challenge Day for children with special needs.
Visual Arts Festival: Provided a high quality juried art show to the Northwest Florida area. More than 200,000 people attend the three day event that showcases professional artists from all over the nation. (219 Artists Participated)
Children's Art Show-includes artwork created from local middle schools to high school, an estimate 500 students participated in the show. A"Challenge Day" gave an estimated 300 special needs children an opportunity to create their own creative art experiance.
Heritage Arts Show-This show includes artists demonstrating Crafts of the Past. Popular demonstrations included a Blacksmith, Basket Weaving, Quilt Making, construction of wood rocking chairs. Estimated attendance 150,000 persons. We had 27 artists demonstrating.
