ITS MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR AFRICAN AND CARIBBEAN AMERICANS THROUGH THE ENHANCEMENT OF EDUCATIONAL AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. THE 100 BLACK MEN OF GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE, INC. WILL SERVE AS A BEACON OF LEADERSHIP BY UTILIZING OUR DIVERSE TALENTS TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE OUR CHILDREN ARE MOTIVATED TO ACHIEVE. 100 BIKE DRIVE The 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Inc. (100BMOGFL) proudly presents its annual 100 Bike Drive. The 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdales popular Annual Bike Drive awards more than 100 bicycles to students throughout Broward County for their scholastic achievement. Students from elementary to middle school are awarded bicycles at a family event that not only recognizes the students for their achievement, but offers an afternoon of fun for the entire family. Your support and donation will allow us to achieve our goal of awarding over 100 bicycles to students who are continuously making scholastic progress. As the holiday season symbolizes the mid-point of the scholastic year, we would like to utilize that opportunity to provide bicycles for students that instituted hard work and dedication during the beginning of the school year. LEADERSHIP ACADEMY The 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale, in partnership with Florida Career College, has begun the development of our Leadership Academy. The Leadership Academy will teach youth the essentials of business, entrepreneurship, and economic development, while nurturing their natural leadership skills. The 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale is very proud to partner with City Furniture to launch our Business Curriculum. The Business Curriculum covers everything from writing a resume and interviewing for a job; to the importance of finding a corporate mentor and understanding corporate values. Each Mentee completing our Leadership Academy will be in business for themselves and about themselves, with an understanding of the importance of self image and self respect.
