Viera Hospital opened in April of 2011. The hospital has 84 all-private patient beds, 12-bed intensive care unit, full medical and surgical capabilities, inpatient diagnostic and lab services, Vitalwatch (remote electronic ICU) 2-way audio/video in all ICU rooms and ecaremobile critical care service units for every patient room. The hospital is hurricane hardened construction with state of the art technologies featured throughout. The hospital offers Da-Vinci Robotics Surgery.Rated 5 Stars by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services 2018, 2019.Viera Hospital is the cornerstone of the Viera Health Park Campus which includes two other integrated health care facilities within walking distance of one another; The Medical Plaza and The Pro-Health & Fitness Center Viera. Cutting edge technology is evident throughout the hospital including the very latest in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) - meaning no more paper records. Viera Hospital provides quality medical healthcare regardless of race, creed, gender, national origin, handicap, age or ability to pay, although reimbursement for services rendered is critical to the operation and stability of Viera Hospital, Inc. It is recognized that not all individuals possess the ability to purchase essential medical services and further, that our mission is to serve the community with respect to providing healthcare services and healthcare education such as "Healthy Happenings" seminars and support groups for the public.In keeping with this hospital's commitment, to serve all members of its community:1) free care and/or subsidized care is provided where the need and/or inability to pay exists;2) care is provided at below cost to persons covered by governmental programs;3) free healthcare activities and programs are provided to the community. These activities include: wellness programs, community education programs, special programs for elderly, handicapped, and mentally underserved along with a variety of broad community support activities.
