WE EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES WHO LIVE THROUGHOUT CENTRAL FLORIDA TO USE THEIR GOD-GIVEN GIFTS THROUGH CHRIST-CENTERED, PERSONALIZED AND WHOLISTIC SERVICES, WHICH INCLUDE RESIDENTIAL, VOCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SUPPORTS.
BISHOP GRADY VILLAS SUPPORTS PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES TO USE THEIR GOD-GIVEN GIFTS TO ACHIEVE GREATER INDEPENDENCE, PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING, AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH. WE EMPOWER THESE INDIVIDUALS FROM THROUGHOUT CENTRAL FLORIDA TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL THROUGH CHRIST-CENTERED, PERSONALIZED AND WHOLISTIC RESIDENTIAL, VOCATIONAL AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES, AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT.
OUR RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS PROVIDED 24-HOUR, 365-DAY SUPPORT TO 52 INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. THIS INCLUDES SUPERVISION AND ASSISTANCE BY 24-HOUR STAFF MEMBERS WITH ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING AND PERSONAL HYGIENE, MEDICATION MANAGEMENT, MEDICAL CASE MANAGEMENT, FOOD PREPARATION, COMMUNITY INTEGRATION AND ACCESS, DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAMS TO FOSTER INDEPENDENCE, RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES IN THE COMMUNITY. DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAMS ARE PERSON-CENTERED AND FOSTER PHYSICAL WELLNESS, SOCIAL SKILLS, HOUSEKEEPING SKILLS AND MONEY MANAGEMENT.
OUR VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM PROVIDED 39 INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES WITH PRE-VOCATIONAL AND ON-GOING POST-VOCATIONAL EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES. THESE SERVICES ARE SCHEDULED 6 HOURS A DAY, 5 DAYS A WEEK. ADULT DAY TRAINING SUPPORTS THE INDIVIDUAL IN DEVELOPING MEANINGFUL AND VALUED ROLES IN THE GREATER COMMUNITY. AREAS OF TRAINING INCLUDE SELF-ADVOCACY, SOCIAL-SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AND VOCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
OUR SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM PROVIDED COMPREHENSIVE PRE-VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND COUNSELING, JOB DEVELOPMENT, ON-THE-JOB TRAINING, PLACEMENT AND ON-GOING FOLLOW-ALONG SUPPORT TO 194 INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES WHO RESIDE THROUGHOUT OSCEOLA, ORANGE AND POLK COUNTIES. SERVICES ARE PERSONALIZED TO THE NEEDS OF THE INDIVIDUAL AND MAY INCLUDE GROUP AND INDIVIDUALIZED INSTRUCTION IN ACCESSING AND EXPLORING THE JOB MARKET AND POSSIBLE CAREER PATHS AS WELL AS DEVELOPING INDIVIDUAL JOB APPLICATIONS, INTERVIEWING SKILLS, SELF-ADVOCACY SKILLS, SOCIAL SKILLS AND SKILLS NEEDED FOR THE PERSONALIZED CAREER PATH.
