Organizations Filed Purposes: THE MISSION OF ECKERD COLLEGE IS TO PROVIDE EXCELLENT INNOVATIVE UNDERGRADUATE LIBERAL ARTS EDUCATION AND LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMS IN THE UNIQUE FLORIDA ENVIRONMENT, WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF A COVENANT RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (U.S.A.).

TO PROVIDE AN UNDERGRADUATE, LIBERAL ARTS EDUCATION AND LIFELONG PROGRAMS WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF A STRONG RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

INSTRUCTION AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO/FOR STUDENTS - INCLUDES TRADITIONAL STUDENTS AS WELL AS RETURNING ADULT STUDENTS OVER THE AGE OF 23. STUDENTS COME FROM 45 STATES AND 35 COUNTRIES. STUDENTS CAN CHOOSE FROM 41 MAJORS IN THE RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM OR DESIGN THEIR OWN INTERDISCIPLINARY CONCENTRATIONS. ALL PROGRAMS LEAD TO A BACHELOR OF ARTS, BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS OR BACHELOR OF SCIENCE DEGREE. ATTENDING ECKERD COLLEGE DURING THE 2019/20 ACADEMIC YEAR WERE 1,989 FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME DEGREE-SEEKING STUDENTS. STUDENT SERVICES - PROVIDE SERVICES TO STUDENTS APART FROM INSTRUCTION SUCH AS ADMISSIONS, FINANCIAL AID, STUDENT ACTIVITIES, ATHLETICS AND MORE. APPROXIMATELY 97% OF ECKERD COLLEGE BEGINNING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS RECEIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AS A RESULT OF THE EFFORTS OF THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE. THE COLLEGE'S STUDENTS HAVE ACCESS TO MANY SERVICES INCLUDING THE FITNESS CENTER, THE OUTDOOR POOL, MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SPORTS, STUDENT GOVERNMENT, STUDENT MEDIA (RADIO, TV AND NEWSPAPER) AND REGISTERED STUDENT CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS. AUXILIARY SERVICES - HOUSING, FOOD SERVICE AND OTHERS. WITH 98% OF STUDENTS LIVING IN THE RESIDENCE HALLS, ECKERD COLLEGE OFFERS RESIDENCE HALLS THAT RANGE FROM TRADITIONAL ROOMS WITH A SHARED COMMON AREA TO APARTMENT STYLE SUITES.
