THE MISSION OF THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION - MARTIN/ST. LUCIE, INC. IS TO INSPIRE PHILANTHROPY THROUGH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CHARITABLE GIVING FUNDS TO IMPACT COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE UNITED STATES AND AROUND THE GLOBE.
THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION - MARTIN/ST. LUCIE, INC. IS ENGAGED IN CARRYING OUT THE PHILANTHROPIC DESIRES AND INTENTIONS OF OUR DONORS/FUNDHOLDERS BY PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO FACILITATE CONTRIBUTIONS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS. ASSISTANCE PROVIDED MAY INCLUDE RESEARCH, VETTING OF CHARITIES AND FOLLOW-UP REPORTING TO ENSURE IMPACT AND USE OF CONTRIBUTIONS/GRANT FUNDS. BY SUCCESSFULLY INVESTING OUR CLIENTS' CHARITABLE ASSETS, THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION PRESERVES AND WORKS TO GROW COMMUNITY CAPITAL IN PERPETUITY. WE ASSIST OUR LIVING FUNDHOLDERS BY NAVIGATING THE LANDSCAPE OF CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE REGION AND THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES SO THAT THEY CAN MAKE HIGH IMPACT, WELL-STRUCTURED GIFTS THAT BETTER THE LIVES OF OTHERS. THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION HONORS THE INTENTIONS AND INTERESTS OF DECEASED FUNDHOLDERS THROUGH GRANT MAKING ACTIVITIES BASED ON THEIR WISHES AND GUIDELINES.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTSSCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED TO VARIOUS STUDENTS IN THE MARTIN COUNTY, FL COMMUNITY, UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED BY THE DONOR, FOR HIGHER EDUCATION AND CONTINUING OR ADULT EDUCATION TUITION EXPENSES. FOLLOWING A FORMAL SUBMISSION AND SELECTION PROCESS, SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED TO INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS AND PAID DIRECTLY TO EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS OR INSTITUTIONS.GRANTS ARE AWARDED TO ORGANIZATIONS BASED ON DONOR RECOMMENDATIONS. THESE FUNDS ARE GRANTED TO 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS THAT ADDRESS A VARIETY OF FIELDS OF INTEREST AND CAUSES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LITERACY, EDUCATION, CHILDREN, ELDER SERVICES, HEALTH, ARTS CULTURE, ENVIRONMENT AND ANIMAL WELFARE.
