Organizations Filed Purposes:
CREATED IS A NON-PROFIT, NON-DENOMINATIONAL CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO THE RESTORATION OF VULNERABLE WOMEN INVOLVED IN THE SEX INDUSTRY TO AN UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR VALUE, BEAUTY, AND DESTINY IN JESUS CHRIST.
A MAJOR COMPONENT OF CREATED'S WORK IS OUR RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY, THE SANCTUARY. HERE WE PROVIDE THE ASSISTANCE RESIDENTS NEED TO ACHIEVE SUCCESSFUL OUTCOMES. THE WOMEN WHO QUALIFY FOR THIS ARE OVER THE AGE OF 18 AND HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN THE SEX INDUSTRY IN THE PAST 2 YEARS. IN 2019 WE HAD 18 WOMEN PARTICIPATE IN THE SANCTUARY PROGRAM. SINCE OPENING IN 2008, THE SANCTUARY (OUR TWO YEAR RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM) HAS SERVED 175 WOMEN BY OFFERING THEM A SAFE HOME AND PROVIDING RESOURCES TO MOVE FORWARD IN THEIR LIVES. 40% HAVE SUCCESSFULLY GRADUATED FROM CREATED; APPROXIMATELY 60% HAVE CURRENTLY ACHIEVED STABLE INCOME AND/OR HOUSING; APPROXIMATELY 50% REMAIN IN CONTACT WITH THE LARGER CREATED COMMUNITY.
CREATED PLACE IS A REFUGE FOR WOMEN WHO HAVE BEEN SEXUALLY EXPLOITED. THERE ARE 2 BUILDINGS ON THIS PROPERTY. THE FIRST OF WHICH SERVES AS AN OFFICE AND MEETING SPACE FOR THE CREATED STAFF AND COMMUNITY. IN 2019, WE HAD 9 STAFF MEMBERS AT THIS LOCATION, INCLUDING 6 WOMEN WHO HAD GRADUATED FROM OUR PROGRAMS. WE ALSO HELD OVER 47 COMMUNITY GATHERINGS AT THIS LOCATION WHERE WOMEN CAME TOGETHER TO ENCOURAGE AND PRAY FOR EACH OTHER. WE LAUNCHED AN OUTREACH SERVICE THROUGH THIS PROPERTY AS WELL THAT PROVIDED MANY WOMEN WITH CLOTHING AND TOILETRIES. THE OTHER BUILDINGS ON THIS PROPERTY SERVE AS APARTMENTS FOR WOMEN WHO HAVE GRADUATED FROM OUR PROGRAMS. IN 2019, THESE APARTMENTS SERVED 2 WOMEN WITH LONG TERM, INCOME BASED HOUSING. HERE THEY HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GROW AND GAIN INDEPENDENCE WITHIN A RECOVERY CENTERED COMMUNITY THAT HOLDS THEM ACCOUNTABLE TO THE GAINS THEY ARE WORKING TO ACHIEVE AS THEY BETTER THEIR LIFE.
IN OCTOBER OF 2018 WE ALSO LAUNCHED AN EMERGENCY HOUSING PROGRAM ON OUR MAIN BUILDING, UTILIZING AN EMPTY APARTMENT SPACE. HERE WE ARE ABLE TO OFFER SHORT TERM HOUSING TO WOMEN WHO ARE IN IMMEDIATE NEED OF HOUSING. THESE ARE VICTIMS OF TRAFFICKING WHO NEED IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE, AND WILL USE OUR HOUSING TO EITHER WAIT FOR A LONGER TERM OPTION OR TO HAVE A SAFE PLACE WHILE THEY START NEW WORK AND FIND LONG TERM HOUSING. IN 2019 WE HOUSED 14 WOMEN, 7 OF THOSE WOMEN MOVED INTO LONG TERM HOUSING FROM THIS PROGRAM.
