Organizations Filed Purposes:
International Consortium of Universities For Drug Demand Reduction supports the rapid improvement in competencies and skills among current and future generations of addiction professionals, to meet the increasing demand for prevention, treatment and public health services. Toward this end, the ICUDDR facilitiates networking among universities to promote high quality education and training in the field of addiction prevention, treatment and public health interventions. It also pursues related applied addictions research, outreach and advocacy.
Our largest program service is training and consultation with universities in Africa, Asia, eastern Europe and Latin America on developing academic programs on drug demand reduction. We hold an annual conference, host learning collaboratives and have a website with materials devoted to curriculum development.
