Organizations Filed Purposes:
To be the 'voice' of Lake County agriculture, to protect the economic well being of agricultural producers and to improve the quality of life in Lake County.
Lake County Farm Bureau co-sponsored the Annual Farm Tour during Farm City Week. The Farm Tour showcased the agricultural diversity within Lake County. The tour educated teachers, students, community members about the impact agriculture has locally.
Lake County Farm Bureau held its annual speech contest virtually due to COVID. Students were asked to research an agricultural related topic. Each year students learn about current topics impacting agriculture while developing public speaking and research skills.
Lake County produced three videos highlighting several farms and ranches in our area. The videos were used in conjunction with our agritoursim brouchures to help promote agriculture within our community. Agritourism is a way to educate consumers on what farmers and ranchers do by getting them on the farm. These educational opportunites help the county work towards improving relationships with the community and the betterment of those engaged in agriculture.
