Organizations Filed Purposes: THE MISSION OF THE SKY FAMILY YMCA IS TO PUT CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES INTO PRACTICE THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT BUILD HEALTHY SPIRIT, MIND, AND BODY FOR ALL. WE OFFER HEALTH AND WELLNESS AND SPORTS PROGRAMS TO PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)(CONTINUED FROM PART III, LINE 1) PROVIDE PRE-SCHOOL AND AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE, AND COLLABORATE WITH OTHER LOCAL NOT-FOR-PROFIT AGENCIES TO ASSIST COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN VARIOUS ASPECTS OF LIFE INCLUDING STRENGTHENING FAMILIES.

THE MISSION OF THE SKY FAMILY YMCA IS TO PUT CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES INTO PRACTICE THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT BUILD A HEALTHY SPIRIT, MIND, AND BODY FOR ALL. OUR AREAS OF FOCUS ARE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. THE SKY FAMILY YMCA IS AN ASSOCIATION OF PERSONS OF ALL AGES, ETHNICITIES, AND RELIGIONS, UNITED IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ENRICH THE QUALITY OF SPIRITUAL, MENTAL, PHYSICAL, AND SOCIAL LIFE FOR FAMILIES AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: OUR YMCA IS COMMITTED TO NURTURING THE POTENTIAL OF EVERY CHILD AND TEEN. WE BELIEVE ALL KIDS HAVE GREAT POTENTIAL AND DESERVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISCOVER WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY CAN ACHIEVE. THAT'S WHY WE HELP YOUNG PEOPLE CULTIVATE THE VALUES, SKILLS AND RELATIONSHIPS THAT LEAD TO POSITIVE BEHAVIORS, BETTER HEALTH AND EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT.OUR YMCA PROGRAMS, SUCH AS OUR 4 EARLY LEARNING CENTERS, YREADS, SUMMER CAMP AND BEFORE AND AFTER-SCHOOL CARE AS WELL AS A RANGE OF YOUTH SPORTS AND YOUTH ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES, OFFER A RANGE OF EXPERIENCES THAT ENRICH SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL, COGNITIVE AND PHYSICAL GROWTH. EXPENSES INCLUDE SUBSIDIES AND DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE THAT MAKE PARTICIPATION POSSIBLE FOR THE YOUNG PEOPLE WE ENGAGE.THE SKY FAMILY YMCA EARLY LEARNING CENTERS PROVIDE FULL-DAY CARE FROM 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM. WE PROVIDE SAFE, LOVING, AFFORDABLE CARE FOR OVER 650 CHILDREN AGES SIX WEEKS TO FIVE YEARS IN OUR CENTERS ANNUALLY. ON AVERAGE OVER 50% OF THE FAMILIES ENROLLED IN THE PRESCHOOLS PARTICIPATE AT A SUBSIDIZED RATE THROUGH YMCA SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE OR THROUGH FUNDING FROM THE EARLY LEARNING COALITION. THESE FAMILIES LIVE AT OR NEAR THE POVERTY LEVEL.THE SKY FAMILY YMCA PROVIDES BEFORE AND AFTER-SCHOOL CARE FOR YOUTH FROM KINDERGARTEN THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE. THE PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE AT 17 SITES. BEFORE-SCHOOL CARE BEGINS AT 6:45 AM, AND AFTER-SCHOOL CARE ENDS AT 6:00 PM. FOR STUDENTS AT WHICH WE DO NOT OFFER THE PROGRAM AT THEIR SCHOOL, THE YOUTH ARE BUSSED TO THE YMCA DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. ON AVERAGE OVER 2,450 STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN BEFORE AND AFTER-SCHOOL.FULL-DAY CARE AND SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS ARE ALSO OFFERED TO YOUTH THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WHEN SCHOOL IS NOT IN SESSION. THE PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE FROM 6:45 AM TO 6:00 PM. ON AVERAGE, OVER 2,400 CHILDREN ATTEND SUMMER CAMP. DURING SUMMER CAMP CHILDREN PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES THAT ALLOW THEM TO CONNECT AND GAIN POSITIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT SKILLS AND CHARACTER VALUES THAT BUILD THE FOUNDATION FOR THEIR FUTURES. SUMMER CAMP ALSO PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL ENHANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES THAT HELP REDUCE THE SUMMER LEARNING SLIDE. DAILY ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE INCLUDE LEARNING CENTERS, HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE AND TUTORING, ARTS AND CRAFTS, GROUP GAMES, AND PHYSICAL FITNESS. CHILDREN ALSO RECEIVE MEALS WHILE IN YMCA CARE AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. THE YMCA ALSO HAS TWO YMCA READS! SITES OFFERED THROUGH SCHOOL AGE CARE. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES FREE EXTENSIVE READING TUTORING FROM TRAINED STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS IN A ONE-ON-ONE SETTING FOR STUDENTS FROM KINDERGARTEN THROUGH THIRD GRADE. THE SKY FAMILY YMCA PROGRAMS ALL RANK AT THE TOP IN THE STATE IN REGARD TO QUALIFICATION OF COORDINATORS, DELIVERY OF INSTRUCTION, STUDENT ATTENDANCE HOURS, NUMBER OF MENTORS, AND SUPPORT SERVICES OFFERED BY THE SKY FAMILY YMCA.TO ENSURE EVERYONE HAS ACCESS TO YMCA YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS THE YMCA PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE OF OVER $440,622 TO NEEDY FAMILIES IN THE SCHOOL AGE PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM IS LICENSED THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.AT THE ONSET OF THE PANDEMIC, THE SKY FAMILY YMCA PIVOTED ITS FOCUS TO PROVIDING EMERGENCY CHILDCARE TO THE FAMILIES OF ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEES AND FIRST RESPONDERS. THESE FAMILIES HAD ACCESS TO A SAFE AND NURTURING PLACE FOR THEIR CHILDREN TO ATTEND WHILE THEY WERE PLAYING THEIR ROLES TO FIGHT OFF THE CORONAVIRUS. CHILDCARE WAS PROVIDED FOR CHILDREN SIX WEEKS TO EIGHTH GRADE. VIRTUAL LEARNING CENTERS WERE ALSO AVAILABLE SO THAT CHILDREN COULD ATTEND SCHOOL REMOTELY DURING SCHOOL CLOSURES. OUR Y ALSO OPERATED MEAL AND FEEDING PROGRAMS TO ENSURE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES HAD ACCESS TO HEALTHY MEALS DURING THE PANDEMIC.

HEALTHY LIVING: THE Y IS COMMITTED TO IMPROVING AMERICA'S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING, COMMUNITY BY COMMUNITY. WE BRING FAMILIES CLOSER TOGETHER, ENCOURAGE GOOD HEALTH AND FOSTER CONNECTIONS THROUGH FITNESS, SPORTS, FUN AND SHARED INTERESTS. AS A RESULT, OVER 4,200 PEOPLE VISIT OUR YMCADAILY AND ARE RECEIVING THE SUPPORT, GUIDANCE AND RESOURCES THEY NEED TO ACHIEVE GREATER HEALTH IN SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY. THIS IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT AS OUR NATION STRUGGLES WITH CHRONIC DISEASE AND OBESITY, FAMILIES WRESTLE WITH WORK/LIFE BALANCE AND INDIVIDUALS SEARCH FOR PERSONAL FULFILLMENT. OUR PROGRAMS ARE ACCESSIBLE, AFFORDABLE AND OPEN TO ALL FAITHS, BACK- GROUNDS, ABILITIES AND INCOME LEVELS. THIS YEAR WE PROVIDED $167,482 IN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO PEOPLE WHO OTHERWISE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO AFFORD TO PARTICIPATE. (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)(CONTINUED FROM PART III, LINE 4.B.)THESE PEOPLE BENEFIT FROM OVER 500 GROUP FITNESS CLASSES OFFERED WEEKLY. WELLNESS PROGRAMS ARE EXTREMELY USEFUL TO PARTICIPANTS RECOVERING FROM OTHER ILLNESSES AND INJURIES AS WELL. PROGRAMS SUCH AS LIVESTRONG, ENHANCEFITNESS, MOVING FOR BETTER BALANCE AND OUR PARKINSON'S WELLNESS PROGRAMS FURTHER BENEFIT COMMUNITY MEMBERS THAT NEED ADDITIONAL SUPPORT AND PERSONALIZED WELLNESS.ADDITIONALLY, WE HAVE YOUTH AND ADULT SPORTS PROGRAMS. IN FY20, OVER 2,000 KIDS PARTICIPATED IN THE SKY FAMILY YMCA'S SPORTS PROGRAMS. SPORTS LEAGUES ARE OFFERED TO CHILDREN AGES THREE YEARS THROUGH EIGHTEEN YEARS IN SOCCER, BASKETBALL, TEE-BALL, BASEBALL, FLAG FOOTBALL, VOLLEYBALL, AND MARTIAL ARTS. AQUATICS AND GYMNASTICS ARE TWO OF OUR OTHER SPORTS DEPARTMENTS. PROGRAMS AND CLASSES ARE OFFERED IN THESE SPORTS IN COMPETITIVE AND NON-COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENTS. IN FY20, 968 PEOPLE LEARNED TO SWIM IN OUR AQUATICS PROGRAM. THE COMPETITIVE SWIM TEAM CURRENTLY HAS ABOUT 42 PARTICIPANTS. THE GYMNASTICS DEPARTMENT OFFERS INSTRUCTION IN DANCE, CHEERLEADING, ROCK CLIMBING AND GYMNASTICS TO KIDS FROM PRE-SCHOOL AGE TO TEENAGERS.SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE TOTALING OVER $6,840 WAS PROVIDED TO PARTICIPANTS IN SPORTS PROGRAMS IN FY20.WHEN OUR WELLNESS CENTERS WERE CLOSED DOWN DUE TO COVID-19, THE Y QUICKLY JUMPED INTO ACTION TO PROVIDE VIRTUAL WELLNESS PROGRAMMING OPPORTUNITIES, SO THAT MEMBERS COULD STAY ACTIVE AND WELL. OUR MEMBERSHIP TEAM ALSO MADE SENIOR CONNECTION CALLS TO ENSURE OUR SENIORS HAD ACCESS TO THE RESOURCES NEEDED DURING THE PANDEMIC.

SKY ACADEMY IS A SMALL PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL THAT CONTINUES TO FOCUS ON TO THE WHOLE CHILD. SKY ACADEMY HOLDS HIGH ACADEMIC STANDARDS AND A FOCUS ON HEALTH, WELLNESS AND NUTRITION. HIGHLY QUALIFIED TEACHERS INFUSE HEALTH AND WELLNESS IN ALL OF OUR CORE CLASSES AND STUDENTS FOCUS ON A LIFETIME OF LEARNING AND WELLNESS. ALL OF OUR TEACHERS ARE QUALIFIED AND MANY HOLD ADVANCED DEGREES. ALL STUDENTS ARE HELD TO A HIGH STANDARD WITH A MAJOR FOCUS ON PERSONAL GROWTH. IN THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR, 465 6TH, 7TH, AND 8TH GRADE STUDENTS WERE ENROLLED AT OUR CHARTER SCHOOLS. BOTH SCHOOLS RECEIVED "A" RATINGS FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR AND SKY VENICE WAS DESIGNATED AS A HIGH PERFORMING CHARTER SCHOOL BY THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.(CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)(CONTINUED FROM PART III, LINE 4.C.)DUE TO SCHOOL BUILDING CLOSURES DURING THE PANDEMIC, BOTH SKY ACADEMIES TRANSITIONED INTO REMOTE LEARNING FOR 465 STUDENTS. TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS ENSURED STUDENTS HAD ACCESS TO NEEDED RESOURCES SUCH AS COMPUTERS, INTERNET ACCESS, MEALS AND MATERIALS. BOTH ACADEMIES ALSO HOSTED SOCIALLY DISTANCED GRADUATION CEREMONIES.
