Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of the Venice Area Board of REALTORS, Inc. is to serve its members in identifying needs; developing, promoting and providing programs and services to enhance the members' freedom and ability to conduct their individual businesses successfully, with integrity and competency, and through collective action; and to promote the extension and preservation of the rights to own, transfer and use real property. Some specific objectives include: 1) to provide members with programs and services which will help their businesses prosper, 2) to promote the affordability and availability of housing, 3) to improve the public's awareness of and confidence in the members and the benefits provided by their services, and 4) to educate members regarding risk management and legal liabilities.

To assist in the development of the members and their businesses, the Venice Area Board of Realtors provides access to various technological services for members to be used in the promotion of their real estate activities. Over 700 members have search access of over 80 Florida Associations through VABR. Programs are provided where members can learn from industry experts through education courses pertaining to key real estate and business topics. Members fulfill educational requirements related to their profession throughout the year and many attend a 14 hour course provided by VABR twice during the year. New members receive a monthly new member orientation from VABR certified instructors.

VABR provides an electronic key system with access available to members. The system provides security to listed property owners and the members experience convenient access to properties and efficient tracking and reporting of listed property activity.

VABR provided for $22,500 in scholarships to Venice area college bound students during 2020. To be eligible, students must maintain a minimum grade point average, submit letters of reference, exhibit leadership qualities, goals, and community involvement. 15 students received scholarships towards their post-secondary education in the amount of $1,500 per student.
