THE FOUNDATION HAS BEEN RANKED NATIONALLY FOR ITS SUPPORT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION AND IS DESIGNATED AS A "DISTINGUISHED" FOUNDATION OF EXCELLENCE BY THE CONSORTIUM OF FLORIDA EDUCATION FOUNDATIONS. THE FOUNDATION HAS PROVIDED MORE THAN 56 MILLION IN BENEFIT SINCE 1987.

BREVARD SCHOOLS FOUNDATION FILLS EDUCATIONAL FUNDING AND OPPORTUNITY GAPS AT ALL OF BREVARD COUNTY'S 85 PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOR 74,000 STUDENTS AND 5,000 TEACHERS BY SUPPORTING INNOVATION, ENGAGING COMMUNITIES AND CHANGING LIVES.

EDUCATION PROGRAMS-SCHOOL BASED THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS INNOVATION IN ALL OF THE BREVARD PUBLIC SCHOOLS(BPS) 85 SCHOOLS BY RAISING FUNDS FOR AND DIRECTING DONOR DESIGNATED GIFTS TO AREAS THAT ENHANCE EDUCATION.FUNDING BENEFITS STUDENTS THROUGH PROGRAMS, SUCH AS ROBOTICS, INNOVATION LABS, SCIENCE AND ART FAIRS, AS WELL AS THROUGH PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING FOR BPS TEACHERS. THE FOUNDATION DIRECTLY SUPPORTS AN ANNUAL STUDY TRIP FOR EACH OF THE DISTRICTS 6TH GRADE STUDENTS TO KENNEDY SPACE CENTER FOR THE DESTINATION SPACE PROGRAM, THE ABC AWARDS ANNUAL RECOGNITION EVENT TO HONOR AND SAY THANK YOU TO THOSE IN SERVICE TO OUR CHILDREN, AND MENTORING AND COLLEGE READINESS SERVICES TO THE STUDENTS IN THE TAKE STOCK IN CHILDREN PROGRAM.

SUPPLY ZONE FOR TEACHERS ESTABLISHED IN 2014, THE SUPPLY ZONE FOR TEACHERS IS A RESOURCE CENTER THAT ENGAGES COMMUNITIES THROUGH SUPPLY DRIVES AND FUNDRAISING TO PROVIDE FREE SUPPLIES TO TEACHERS AT HIGH-POVERTY SCHOOLS. BY FOCUSING ON LOW-INCOME AND HOMELESS STUDENT POPULATIONS, THE SUPPLY ZONE WORKS TO ENSURE THAT ALL CHILDREN HAVE ACCESS TO THE NECESSARY SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND HYGIENE PRODUCTS DESPITE THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES. STUDENTS NO LONGER HAVE TO FEEL DISCONNECTED, EMBARRASSED, AND UNPREPARED WHEN THEY COME TO SCHOOL WITHOUT SUPPLIES; THE TOOLS THEY NEED TO SUCCEED ARE READY AND WAITING FOR THEM IN THE CLASSROOM. THE SUPPLY ZONE HAS DISTRIBUTED MORE THAN 5 MILLION IN FREE SUPPLIES SINCE INCEPTION.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND STUDENT AWARDS - 121 AWARDED (73 SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS AND 48 TSIC PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS) SCHOLARSHIPS CHANGE LIVES BY HELPING STUDENTS ACHIEVE THEIR HIGHER EDUCATION GOALS AND DREAMS. THE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GRADUATING SENIORS PROGRAM OFFERED MERIT OR NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES. THE FOUNDATION'S TAKE STOCK IN CHILDREN (TSIC) DROP-OUT PREVENTION PROGRAM OFFERED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INCOME-ELIGIBLE STUDENTS WHO MET TSIC REQUIREMENTS.
