THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF THE PALM BEACHES HAS BUILT A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE FLORENCE DE GEORGE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB, THROUGH WHICH WE HAVE UNDERTAKEN GOODS DONATIONS, AS WELL AS SERVICE DELIVERY IN THE SHAPE OF MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS. WE DONATED 200 BACKPACKS FILLED WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR A YEAR TO CHILDREN AT THE BOYS & GIRL IN AUGUST, AND HAVE FOLLOWED THAT WITH BI- WEEKLY AFTER-SCHOOL MENTORSHIP IN THE SHAPE OF ARTS AND CRAFTS PROGRAMS.THESE BI-WEEKLY ACTIVITIES INCLUDED HOLIDAY PARTIES FOR THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS, AND HALLOWEEN, WITH DONATED FOOD AND FESTIVE SUPPLIES. THEY ALSO INCLUDED A KIDS IN THE KITCHEN EVENT, WHERE FAMILIES WERE PROVIDED WITH NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION AND COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS, AND BI-WEEKLY LITERACY PROGRAMS WITH BRIDGES IN RIVERIA BEACH. THROUGH THESE ENDEAVORS OUR VOLUNTEERS HAVE SPENT 38 HOURS AT THE CLUB, INTERACTING WITH AND PROVIDING SERVICES TO A TOTAL OF 352 CHILDREN OVER THE COURSE OF A YEAR.

THROUGH OUR DONE IN A DAY PROGRAM THE JUNIOR LEAGUE PROVIDES VOLUNTEER HOURS TO OUR PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT PALM BEACH COUNTY TO HELP ACCOMPLISH COMMUNITY PROJECTS. THIS YEAR WE PROVIDED 400 VOLUNTEERS FOR A TOTAL OF 180 HOURS TO OUR MANY PARTNERS, INCUDING THE LOGGERHEAD MARINELIFE CENTER, HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, QUANTUM HOUSE, AND CROS GLEANING.IN ADDITION, THROUGH OUR "PINK PALM " DIRECT DONATION DRIVES WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE OVER 100 CARE PACKAGES DIRECTLY TO CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE THROUGH OUR PARTNERS HOMESAFE, HARMONY HOUSE, AND VITA NOVA.

OUR MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS PROVIDE US WITH THE ABILITY TO INTERACT WITH YOUNG WOMEN AND CHILDREN ACROSS SEVERAL PARTNER AGENCIES, AND BUILD INDIVIDUAL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN JUNIOR LEAGUE MEMBERS AND SERVICE RECIPENTS.
