EPCAR PROVIDES QUALITY EDUCATION AND SERVICES TO MEMBERS, AND PROTECTS PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS.
EDUCATION CLASSES: PROVIDED REQUIRED AS WELL AS ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CLASSES TO MEMBERS. EPCAR MEMBERS HAD A VARIETY OF PLATFORMS TO CHOOSE FROM: ICE CLASSES, LUNCH & LEARNS AND MORNING OR AFTERNOON CLASSES, LIVE INSTRUCTOR OR INTERNET-BASED FORMATS. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FLORIDA REALTORS, CONTRACT INSTRUCTORS, PLUS OTHER VENDORS LIKE OUR OWN BUSINESS PARTNERS (TITLE, MORTGAGE, LEGAL) EPCAR PROVIDED A TOTAL OF 56 DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. OUR CLASSES SERVED APPROXIMATELY 830 MEMBERS WHICH INCLUDED OUR NEW MEMBERS WHO ATTENDED NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION CLASSES. THESE ORIENTATION CLASSES SERVED 178 TOTAL MEMBERS. PLUS 36 MULTIPLE LISTING SERVICE CLASSES WHICH FOCUSED ON REQUIRED AND ADVANCED PROGRAM TRAINING SERVED OVER 200 MEMBERS.
LEADERSHIP TRAINING: EPCAR CONTINUES TO PROVIDE ITS LEADERSHIP TRAINING BOTH AT THE BOARD LEVEL AND CHAIR/VICE CHAIR LEVELS AS WELL. THIS YEAR WE HAD 58 ATTENDEES. ONE OF THE CLASSES FOCUSED ON PREPARING THE LEADERSHIP TEAM TO GET READY FOR THEIR YEAR OF SERVICE. THE CHAIR/VICE CHAIR TRAINING FOCUSES ON LEADING OUR WORKGROUP AND COMMITTEES WITH STRATEGIC PLAN IN MIND. MEANWHILE THE OTHER ANNUAL LEADERSHIP TRAINING, PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS PREPARES BOTH BOARD AS WELL AS GRIEVANCE AND PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS COMMITTEES FOR POTENTIAL GRIEVANCE MATTERS FROM THE PUBLIC AT LARGE OR OTHER REALTOR MEMBERS. WHILE SOME OF THESE LEADERSHIP CLASSES ARE OFFERED YEAR OVER YEAR, ALL ARE REFRESHED ANNUALLY TO KEEP UP WITH CHANGES IN THE INDUSTRY.
MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS: IN 2019, EPCAR CONTINUED ITS SCHEDULE OF GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS EVERY OTHER MONTH WITH A TOTAL OF 5 REGULAR MEETINGS AND ONE ANNUAL AWARDS & INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS MEMBERSHIP MEETING/BANQUET. OUR 6 MEETINGS YIELDED AN ATTENDANCE WITH AN AVERAGE OF 94 MEMBERS, A 16% INCREASE OVER LAST YEAR. THESE MEETINGS DESIGNED TO BOTH INFORM AND EDUCATE OUR MEMBERS REACHED A TOTAL OF 588 TOTAL MEMBERS THIS YEAR THIS YEAR OUR TOPICS RANGED FROM A RENOVATION PANEL TO LIFE COACH AND COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION AND FINALLY OUR LOCAL CELEBRITY SHERIFF GRADY WHO FOCUSES ON THE CRIME RATE AS IT RELATES TO REAL ESTATE. THE SHERRIFF THIS YEAR DREW IN THE SECOND LARGEST ATTENDANCE IN OUR MEMBERSHIP MEETING SCHEDULE. BUT OUR LARGEST MEETING OF THE YEAR CONTINUES TO BE OUR ANNUAL AWARDS & INSTALLATION BANQUET WITH 155, THAT'S A CONSISTENT PERFORMANCE YEAR OVER YEAR. MEANWHILE, OUR ANNUAL MEETING, IN OCTOBER, A COMBINATION MEETING AND BUSINESS/COMMUNITY EXPO HELD STEADY AT 127 MEMBERS. PLUS, OUR SPRING FLING BUSINESS & COMMUNITY EXPO SERVED 102 PLUS 27 VENDORS.
