The Ride for Joy Therapeutic Riding Program facilitates safe, professional, compassionate and inspiring experiences through equine riding programs, classes, and camps. Ride for Joy serves children who have cognitive and physical disabilities, and veterans suffering from physical, mental, and/or emotional injuries associated with their service.
Students show improved balance and coordination, increased core strength and muscle tone, and improvements in speech and communication. Veterans suffering from the effects of PTSD have shown remarkable improvement in their emotional and physical well-being.Since 2007, over 200 volunteers have provided over 4,000 hours of service.
Our mission is to bring the joy of horse riding to children with special needs and veterans with PTSD.
