During fiscal year 2019, St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center provided qualified inpatient care for 1,378 admissions covering 3,647 patient days. Emergency and TransportThe Emergency Department recently was designated a Level IV Trauma Center and is staffed 24/7 by board-certified emergency medicine physicians. Air St. Luke's is also available to move patients in critical situations via helicopter, fixed wing or ground transport to our urban locations. During Fiscal Year 2019, the 24-hour emergency department had 8,224 patient visits.
