Organizations Filed Purposes: To enhance the regions visual arts experience by exhibiting permanent and rotating art exhibits, provide facilities for exhibitions and improve and educate Idaho's artists, community and children.

As the only regional art museum in eastern Idaho and only the second in the state of Idaho, The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho (TAM) operates in the public trust as a museum of service and as a regional leader in the visual arts. TAM promotes the power of the arts to educate, inspire and empower the lives of individuals of all ages and abilities in eastern Idaho by showcasing rotating art exhibits, building a permanent collection-particularly works by Idaho artists-and providing extensive art educational opportunities.

TAM serves as a catalyst for creative engagement between the arts and individuals of all ages and abilities through a wide variety of innovative fine art exhibitions and stimulating educational programming. TAM presents exhibitions that engage the imagination and range widely in scope, medium and subject matter. These exhibits are the basis for the museum's ARTworks outreach lessons in 250 classrooms throughout eastern Idaho. Special emphasis is placed on serving underserved and rural schools and visits are provided at no cost to the schools. TAM's educators also guide 2,000+ students through its exhibits and host quarterly free family days for the community.

Weekly youth classes and summer art camps are offered to children ages 3 - 13 where students explore core art principles, develop fine art techniques and engage in a broad range of art-making processes from drawing to sculpture. Scholarships are made available to ensure these opportunities are accessible to all. TAM also offers a broad range of classes and workshops for adults in all stages of their artistic development. From watercolor workshops to monthly ceramic and figure studio sessions, adult classes engage new and emerging artists in the development of their own artistic voice and assists established artists in connecting with new approaches and refining their skills.
