The Education Foundation, along with the grants committee, awards grants to teachers to enhance the learning opportunities for students through innovation and creativity. In the last five years, the foundation has awarded grants to over 1,000 teachers and 80 different programs in the West Ada School District. During the 2019-2020 grant year, the Education Foundation awarded $826,537 in grants throughout the West Ada School District to programs such as STEM, Arts, language arts and athletics. The onset of COVID 19 affected the ability to fundraise and host in-person events, like the annual golf tournament, and in-person donor asks, although grants specifically for COVID 19 were received.
The Education Foundation provides many different types of scholarships for students, including pay-to-play scholarships, advanced placement concurrent credit scholarships, and limited college scholarships. During the 2019-2020 school year, the Education Foundation awarded $9,230 in scholarships to 16 students.
