Organizations Filed Purposes: The Wilbury Theatre Group is a Rhode Island non-profit corporation committed to creating the highest quality professional theatre that is affordable and accessible to the community.

The Wilbury Theatre Group engages our community in thought-provoking conversation through new works, reimagined classics and adventurous playmaking. We are idealistic, ambitious, and stubborn in our resolve to create theatre that entertains, enlightens, and inspires.

Mainstage productions - The Wilbury Theatre Group produced 6 Main Stage productions in FY 20, each was open to the public for about 4 weeks and 22 performances.

New Works program - Founded in response to the clear need for artists and augmented by the occasional production of modern classics. The Wilbury Theatre Group's work is marked by its emphasis on excellence in acting and design, a less-is-more aesthetic, and a commitment to creating an immersive audience experience with every production., The New Works and Education program in FY 20 developed and produced 36 workshops, readings, and small scale productions of work by local artists as one-day or multi-day events.

Fringe Festival - Fringe Festival celebrates small, independent performing artists with a multi-day event that features multicultural performances at a variety of venues. More than 300 individual artists and 4,000 audience members participated in the week-long festival in FY 20, produced in multiple venues and event spaces throughout the neighborhood of Olneyville.
