Organizations Filed Purposes: THE KEY OBJECTIVE OF PVA IS TO TAKE THOSE ACTIONS NECESSARY TO RESTORE SPINAL CORD INJURED OR DISEASED VETERANS' BODIES AND LIFE POTENTIALS AS CLOSELY AS IS HUMANLY POSSIBLE TO THOSE AMERICANS NOT SUFFERING SPINAL CORD DYSFUNCTION. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY THE COORDINATED EFFORTS OF THE PVA ORGANIZATION THROUGH PROGRAMS: TO ADVOCATE FOR AND MONITOR THE DELIVERY OF HIGH QUALITY AND APPROPRIATE HEALTH CARE BENEFITS AND SERVICES. TO ASSIST IN IDENTIFYING AND SECURING VETERANS' BENEFITS AND OTHER BENEFITS FOR SPINAL CORD INJURED AND DISEASED VETERANS AND OTHERS AS APPROPRIATE. TO PROMOTE MEDICAL RESEARCH TO CURE SPINAL CORD DYSFUNCTION AND OTHER RELATED PROBLEMS. TO EDUCATE SOCIETY ON THE ATTITUDINAL, PHYSICAL AND LEGAL BARRIERS WHICH CONFRONT PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES AND TO INFLUENCE THE REMOVAL OF THOSE BARRIERS. TO PROVIDE INFORMATION TO AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR HEALTH PROMOTION, RECREATION, EMPLOYMENT, SPORTS, SERVICES, AND CAMARADERIE FOR SPINAL CORD INJURED AND DISEASED VETERANS AND OTH

ADVOCACY, LIAISON, SERVICES: - WE CONTINUE TO ADVOCATE THROUGH THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION FOR THE BENEFITS OUR MEMBERS HAVE EARNED. WE ACTIVELY SERVE AS A WATCHDOG TO SUPPORT THE CIVIL RIGHTS OF OUR MEMBERS. WE WORK ARDENTLY TO ENSURE THAT LOCAL BUSINESSES ARE ADA COMPLIANT AND THAT THE ACCESSIBILITY WITHIN THE COMMUNITY SERVES THE NEEDS OF THE DISABLED. - MSCPVA REMAINS INVOLVED AS AN ACTIVE PARTNER IN THE DEVELOPMENT THE VA REPLACEMENT FACILITY AT FITZSIMONS TO ENSURE THAT THE PLANS FOR ACCESSIBILITY REMAIN INTACT AND THAT THE CENTER RETAINS ALL OF THE ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS IT NEEDS TO PROVIDE OUR MEMBERS WITH EXCELLENT CARE. - MSCPVA'S AUXILIARY, (ONE OF ONLY TWO CHAPTER AUXILIARIES IN THE COUNTRY) CONTINUES TO SUPPORT OUR ONGOING MISSION AND THE PROGRAMS WE PROVIDE TO BETTER SERVE OUR MEMBERSHIP.

SPORTS AND RECREATION: - WE EXPANDED OUR RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS PROVIDED TO MEMBERS INCREASED THE NUMBER OF GRANTS PROVIDED AND MAINTAINED A VERY HIGH LEVEL OF PROGRAM TO ADMINISTRATION RATIO (65%). WE MAINTAIN BOWLING LEAGUES, POKER LEAGUE, POOL TOURNAMENT, BOWLING TOURNAMENT, ROCKY MOUNTAIN RIDE - "LEARN TO" HANDCYCLING CLINIC WITH CRAIG HOSPITAL, ADAPTIVE ADVENTURES, AND OTHERS. - WE PROVIDE ALLOCATED GRANTS TO OUR MEMBERS TO SUPPORT THEIR SPORTS AND RECREATION, EDUCATION, AND PHYSICAL FITNESS ENDEAVORS.

MEMBERSHIP: SERVICE TO OUR MEMBERSHIP CONTINUED TO GROW IN FY 2020 THROUGH THE CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT OF MEMBER PROGRAMS, INCLUDING: NEW MEMBERSHIP ORIENTATION, INCLUSIVE MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS AND EXTERNAL INVOLVEMENT WITH OTHER VETERAN SERVICE AND COMMUNITY DISABILITY ORGANIZATIONS.
