Church and community transformation (CCT): In partnership with Tearfund, Tearfund USA mobilized church and community transformation in Burkina Faso through training 20 Ministry Coordinators, who will in turn train and mentor a further 300 Church Facilitators forming 220 self-help savings groups (each with 2-8 members). Additionally, the organization worked to achieve self-sufficiency in food for vulnerable households, eradicate malnutrition, create jobs for young people, provide access to clean drinking water, and promote good hygiene and sanitation practices. The project has benefited 5,809 people directly and 40,663 indirectly.
Conflict, Crisis and Refugees: Tearfund USA and our partners responded to the unprecedented crisis of Refugees and displaced people by meeting emergency needs in Honduras, South Sudan, Bangladesh and other countries. Tearfund USA and our partners provided emergency food, supplies, water, and child friendly spaces in refugee camps, and youth empowerment and agricultural training for displaced populations.
