THE MISSION OF REV5 IS TO DISCIPLE, TRAIN, AND DEVELOP COLLEGE AND 20-SOMETHINGS TO LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE, AND LEAD WITH PURPOSE AND PERSUASION IN EVERY SPHERE OF SOCIETY. THROUGH BACKCOUNTRY ADVENTURES, EDUCATION EXPERIENCES, AND INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS, WE CALL OUT THE LEADER IN YOU.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT LIFE-ON-LIFE CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE SAKE OF SEEING THE KINGDOM OF GOD MOVE FORWARD
REVOLUTION5 LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE HAD 5 STUDENTS ENROLLED. CLASS INSTRUCTION TIME AVERAGES NINE HOURS PER WEEK AND COVERS EVERYTHING FROM WORLDVIEW TO PUBLIC COMMUNICATION TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP TO GOVERNANCE. THE STUDENTS WERE TAKEN ON A NUMBER OF DEVELOPMENTAL TRIPS, INCLUDING THE GRAND TETONS AND SEVERAL TRIPS AROUND COLORADO. THIS YEAR, DUE TO COVID-19 MOST OF OUR NORMAL SPRING TRIPS WERE CANCELLED. THE FOCUS FOR OUR TRIPS IS PRIMARILY DEVELOPING CORE LEADERSHIP SKILLS, INCLUDING OVERCOMING ADVERSITY, SELF AWARENESS, AND SERVANT LEADERSHIP. OUR COMMISIONING CEREMONY WAS HELD MAY 16TH, 2019 IN COLORADO SPRINGS.
IN THE SUMMER, REV5 TOOK 12 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND STAFF TO NEPAL FOR THE PURPOSES OF HUMANITARIAN OUTREACH AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT. WHILE THERE, THEY HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH LOCAL ORPHANAGES. THE PRIMARY GOALS WERE TO PREPARE YOUNG LEADERS THROUGH SOFT-SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, CONFIDENCE, AND PERSONAL ETHOS, THAT WOULD BETTER SITUATE THEM TO MAKE A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE IN THEIR NEXT YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL.
REVOLUTION5 SET OUT ON ITS ANNUAL TOUR WITH STAFF AND STUDENTS ON A CROSS-COUNTRY TRIP, TRAVELING TO VARIOUS NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO TRAIN AND MINISTER THROUGH INSTRUCTIONAL TIMES, MUSIC, AND SPOKEN WORK. WE TRAVELED FROM COLORADO SPRINGS TO KANSAS CITY, IOWA, AND ILLINOIS, WE TOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO HOST BREAK-OUT SESSIONS WITH PARENTS, TEACHERS, AND LOCAL CHURCH LEADERS. THE GOAL WAS TO OFFER PRACTICAL TOOLS AND INSIGHT FOR PARENTS TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO BETTER RELATE WITH THEIR MILLENNIAL STUDENTS AND TO OFFER NON-PROFIT LEADERSHIP TRAINING SEMINARS IN CONFLICT RESOLUTION, TEAMWORK, AND SERVANT LEADERSHIP. DURING THE IL LEG OF OUR TRIP, COVID-19 BROKE OUT AND WE RETURNED TO COLORADO PRINGS. THE REMAINDER OF THE TOUR WAS CANCELLED DUE TO SCHOOLS, AND EVENTUALLY, CHURCHES BEING CLOSED.
