THROUGH VIOLENCE FREE COLORADO'S VARIOUS TRAINING OFFERINGS, WE GIVE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICE PROVIDERS AND OTHER PROFESSIONALS THE LATEST INFORMATION, SKILLS AND TOOLS THEY NEED TO KEEP COLORADO POISED AS A LEADER IN EFFORTS TO RESPOND TO AND PREVENT RELATIONSHIP VIOLENCE. IN 2019, VIOLENCE FREE COLORADO RESPONDED TO OVER 500 TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE REQUESTS AND TRAINED OVER 2,500 INDIVIDUALS THROUGH WEBINARS, OUR ONLINE LEARNING CENTER, IN-PERSON TRAININGS, AND OUR ANNUAL COLORADO ADVOCACY IN ACTION CONFERENCE.
SOCIAL CHANGE & COMMUNICATIONS: VIOLENCE FREE COLORADO EMPLOYS A VARIETY OF COMMUNICATIONS AND SOCIAL CHANGE STRATEGIES AND TACTICS, INCLUDING PUBLIC WILL-BUILDING, STORYTELLING THROUGH ENGAGEMENT OF PEOPLE WITH LIVED EXPERIENCE, AND PREVENTION PROGRAMMING TO ADVANCE UNDERSTANDING OF AND MOVE PEOPLE TO ACT ON RELATIONSHIP VIOLENCE AND ITS ROOT CAUSES. IN 2019, VIOLENCE FREE COLORADO CONTINUED TO ADVANCE THE CLOSE TO HOME PUBLIC WILL- BUILDING CAMPAIGN TO MAKE HOMELESSNESS HISTORY IN COLORADO AND TO ADVANCE STAND UP COLORADO, A RELATIONSHIP VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROJECT. ACROSS VIOLENCE FREE COLORADO'S PROGRAMS, THE ORGANIZATION AND ITS MEMBERSHIP FURTHER GENDER, HEALTH AND RACIAL EQUITY AND JUSTICE, PUTTING US AHEAD OF THE CURVE IN CULTIVATING RELATIONSHIPS TO KEEP UP WITH COLORADO'S QUICKLY CHANGING DEMOGRAPHICS AND CREATE AN INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY DEDICATED TO ENDING VIOLENCE.
