Organizations Filed Purposes: In the spirit of St. Vincent DePaul, Colorado Vincentian Volunteers (CVV) invite young adults into a process of transformation through companionship with people who are living in poverty and are marginalized.

Colorado Vincentian Volunteers (CVV) offers an opportunity for young people (ages 21-30) to give a year of their life in service to those who are living in poverty. CVV connects these young adults with agencies that serve those who are living in the margins of society.

CVV provides full-time young adult volunteers to agencies that serve those who are in need. During the past year, 18 volunteers worked at the following agencies: Anchor School for Blind Children, Annunciation School, Mount St. Vincent's, Senior Support Services, Laradon, The GrowHaus, Dominican Home Health Agency, Arrupe Jesuit High School, Urban Peak, Earthlinks, St. Francis Center, SAME Cafe, Sewall Child Development Center, Samaritan House and Stout Street Health Center. Each one of the volunteers works approximately 40 hours per week (about 45 weeks), or 1800 hours of service each, totaling more than 34,000 hours of service. At each site, the number of people served varies, from a school with 170 students, to a day shelter where more than 600 people come daily. The agencies have estimated that having one volunteer saves them approximately $20,000 to $30,000 annually.
