Organizations Filed Purposes: Mission: Holistically helping individuals build healthy lives from the inside out. Empowering individuals to make healthy and safe decisions through trauma, gender and culturally responsive holistic behavioral health services.

Empowerment is a licensed behavioral health out-patient treatment facility providing comprehensive trauma informed treatment and supportive services for individuals with complex needs. The Women's Recovery Project includes group support, social and recreational events, along with wellness activities to help cis and transgender women build healthier lives from the inside out and provide meaningful relationships and social networks to decrease isolation. Recovery in a Secured Environment (RISE) offers psycho-educational groups focused on co-occurring disorders to individuals incarcerated in Denver County Jail. Care management and re-entry services are offered to every participant pre- and post- release through a program called Still They Rise. HIV Outreach, Education and Care Services - The Women's Health Project at Empowerment provides wrap around, trauma responsive, participant centered core and supportive services cis and transgender women living with HIV/AIDS with the purpose of improving access to, and retention in, needed core medical and support services to improve health outcomes. Empowerment in the lead agency in the Denver Aurora HIV Prevention Partnership and provides rapid HIV testing, education concerning Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) that helps high risk HIV negative individuals stay HIV negative. The Colorado HIV and AIDS Prevention Program addresses local community needs in the areas of medically accurate HIV and AIDS prevention and education.

Empowerment owns six housing properties that provide safe, stable housing for individuals who have experienced incarceration, poverty, homelessness and or behavioral health challenges. In addition to our properties, Empowerment provides the supportive services necessary for individuals to obtain and maintain long-term stability in housing, including counseling, information and referral services. The program provides services to over 300 women per year.

Supported employment assists individuals living with behavioral health conditions find and maintain competitive employment of their choosing. This assistance includes resume assistance, mock interviews and career readiness training workshops. Work and Gain Employment and Educational skills provides re-entry and intensive care management services to women who have been or are about to be released from the Department of Corrections, and who live or will live in the Metro Denver area. This program provides services to over 150 women each year.
