GSN seeks to co-create healthy school ecosystems by partnering with educators, students, families and communities to elevate the education experience. Generation Schools Networks vision is that all schools are vibrant, inclusive ecosystems that ensure every student thrives in school, work and life. GSN specifically targets its education supports and turnaround efforts in schools where it can focus on changing the trajectory for traditionally marginalized and underserved students.
During the 2019-2020 fiscal year, GSN served more than 4,700 teachers and 69,000 students in 105 districts through programs such as Social & Emotional Learning, Turnaround Leadership, Diagnostic Review & Unified Improvement Planning, Expelled & At-Risk Student Services, Creating Healthy Schools, Leadership Coaching and more. State-wide impact has been driven by GSNs partnership with Battelle for Kids, Boards of Collaborative Educational Services (BOCES) and districts across the state of Colorado in launching the Colorado Rural Education Collaborative (CREC) in 2015. The CREC now serves over 3,400 teachers and 53,000 students in more than 70 districts across the state. Specific CREC accomplishments can be found at: http://www.coruraledcollab.org.
