Our Front Porch provided outreach screening and referrals for over 350 people recovering from house fires and over 410 one-on-one services, helping clients locate resources, find new housing, and recover from their trauma. The Emergency Housing program served 9 households, providing them with a safe and affordable temporary home. The need for housing outweighs capacity, and 103 households were placed on OFPs waitlist, reinforcing the need for more temporary housing. Working in collaboration with Red Cross and Denver Human Services, Our Front Porch responded to five large apartment fires. Almost 300 new pairs of underwear were also provided to home fire survivors. The rental income comes from our clients who are part of our Emergency Housing program. Project Management - In response to our homeowner clients who were struggling with their insurance companies and contractors while rebuilding their homes after a house fire, we started a Project Management program. Clients are charged an extremely affordable weekly fee of $75/week for the duration of the construction project. A Project Manager acts as their advocate during the rebuilding process, conducts weekly site visits with the client and the general contractor, and assists with navigating the insurance claim.
