Organizations Filed Purposes: Radian is a nonprofit architecture and urban design group that serves community advocates through a people-centered approach in the pursuit of social equity. Radian exists to advocate, design and build. The Radian team is passionate about designing vibrant spaces, and implementing a new way of design that promotes empowerment and inclusivity among communities.

STUDIOS: EQUITABLE DEVELOPMENTRadian uses innovative design strategies to elevate and respond to the voices of underserved communities. Radian co-creates programs, tools and policy recommendations to mitigate involuntary displacement through the built environment to ensure socially equitable growth.COMMUNITY CENTERED DESIGNRadian identifies gaps in services that can be solved through architecture & design. Radian conducts needs assessments with community leaders, members and organizations in order to develop a community-based design process to determine creative planning solutions.SOCIAL IMPACT CONSULTINGRadian increases affordable opportunities for people of all backgrounds. Radian is streamlining the development process by identifying land opportunities, solidifying partnerships, leveraging non-traditional capital, and scaling community-benefit throughout the state of Colorado.

Congregation Land Campaign: In partnership with Interfaith Alliance of Colorado, Radian has developed The Congregation Land Campaign, which addresses the essential need for housing across Colorado, while supporting diverse faith-based communities in advancing their values. Most congregations do not have knowledge of housing development, ownership models and processes, nor the capacity to conduct a thorough engagement and planning process with their members or the broader community. As a result, the Campaign has developed a streamlined process and technical assistance package working with congregations on a series of workshops and charrettes to design housing, childcare, and community-beneficial projects on their underdeveloped land.

BUILD: In January 2019, Radian opened BUILD, a mission-driven coworking space forcommunity-serving organizations to connect, collaborate and create positive impact. BUILD provides 50 affordable work spaces for individuals at community-serving organizations at a lower-than-market rate. With a special focus on cultivating nonprofit community, Radian activated the space with over 20 special events and education programming, reaching over 500 people in 2019.
