Organizations Filed Purposes:
YCP is dedicated to providing education that erases homophobia from locker rooms and sports venues. They work at providing support based on recognizing talent, dedication and skill for all athletes and fans regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion, national origin or other discriminatory factors.
YCP continued to expand its work in sports particularly at the college and professional levels, while working under the duress of the Covid-19 pandemic and responding to options presented by the Black Lives Matter movement. YCP used this down time of the sports and entertainment industries to re-evaluate programs and re-work a number of initiatives in preparation for the leagues restarting post-Covid. YCP continues to be the go-to voice for diversity and inclusion in sports. Crisis communications for individual teams and leagues continues to be important. New partnerships were established that allowed for an expansion into the sports of tennis and golf.
