Organizations Filed Purposes:
The mission of 4 The Children is to train volunteers in court for children involved in Dependency and Neglect cases. Volunteers are trained to gather information about the situation so that a judge can make informed decisions. 4 The Children also provides supervised exchanges and parent time vists.
4 The Children supports the CASA of the Southwest program to provide trained volunteers to be assigned as Court Appointed Special Advocates for children in neglected and abuse cases. Over 25 children were represented during the fiscal year. 4 The Children also provides Supervised Exchange and Parent Time services for children of seperated families. Over 200 visits were provided and over 180 exchanges were made.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) - Provide volunteers to be court appointed as special advocates for children at risk of abuse and neglect before the courts. 27 children were served with advocates during the year.
Supervised Exchange, Parent Time (SEPT) - to provide supervised exchanges and supervised parenting time for families in high conflict divorce cases, domestic violence cases, and for cases where children are in foster care. During the year there were 238 supervised visitations and 189 safe exchanges.
