THE DURANGO DHARMA CENTER IS DEDICATED TO UPHOLDING THE INTEGRITY OF THE BUDDHA, DHARMA AND SANGHA. TO ASSURING THE SUSTAINABILITY OF THE TEACHINGS, INCLUDING THE OFFERING OF RETREATS AND CONTINUITY OF A DEDICATED SPACE AND PROVIDING OPPORTUNITY FOR SERVICE.
THE DHARMA CENTER CONTINUES TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY STRUCTURE TO PROMOTE BUDDHIST ETHICAL PRINCIPALS AND TRAINING IN MEDITATION. THE DHARMA CENTER HAS NUMEROUS WEEKLY GATHERINGS UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF TRAINED TEACHERS TO ENABLE MEDITATION PRACTICE IN THE THERVADA TRADITION. THERE ARE FORMAL CLASSES AS WELL AS MEDITATION GROUPS. THE DHARMA CENTER ALSO SCHEDULES BOTH RESIDENTIAL AND NON-RESIDENTIAL RETREATS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. CURRENTLY, IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED ONLINE.
ORGANIZING AND MANAGING RESIDENTIAL AND NON-RESIDENTIAL MEDIATION RETREATS INVOLVING 250 - 300 STUDENTS. RESIDENTIAL RETREATS INCLUDED ROOM AND BOARD FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS.
