Stillwater music enriches lives through our music programs, contributing to the growth, development and well being of all who participate and are touched by what we do. This includes our students, parents, staff and volunteers, our community and the countless others beyond who are impacted in some way by the music we make. Stillwaters ripples make a positive difference in the world.Stillwater offers a unique educational approach, engaging professional musicians, in all genres, to teach our students. Programs are offered for all ages - youth and adult- in group band settings and one-on-one lessons. Kids thrive in after-school and in-school programs; adults find social connection and the joy of making music together in performing bands. Our students build life-skills and confidence that goes beyond the music lessons taught, skills that will serve them as they face lifes challenges, skills that will improve their lives and make our world a better place.
Stillwater Foundation's music program provides music education through after school and in-school programs for approximately 850 participants, including music education to rural parts of the community and fulfills a need not otherwise provided for in the community. Likewise, Stillwater provides unique educational opportunities not otherwise available in the community. No person is denied admission due to financial, mental or physical disadvantage and Stillwater works closely with other nonprofits to provide programs. Opportunities continue to grow as Stillwater expands its educational opportunities throughout La Plata County.
