Organizations Filed Purposes: WE ENHANCE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITIES THROUGH COMPASSIONATE, INTEGRATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES.

MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES - WE PROVIDE COUNSELING, THERAPY, AND GROUP THERAPY ON AN OUTPATIENT BASIS TO TREAT INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WITH A WIDE RANGE OF EMOTIONAL, SOCIAL, AND PSYCHIATRIC NEEDS USING EVIDENCE-BASED THERAPIES. IN SOME CASES, CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES PROVIDE LINAGE TO OTHER SERVICES IN THE COMMUNITY.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT - SINCE 1977, THE AQUARIUS CENTER AT ARAPAHOE/DOUGLAS MENTAL HEALTH NETWORK HAS BEEN EFFECTIVELY TREATING INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE DUALLY DIAGNOSED, THAT IS, THOSE WHO ARE CHALLENGED BY BOTH MENTAL ILLNESS AND ADDICTION. AS THE FIRST OUTPATIENT PROGRAM IN COLORADO TO INTEGRATE TREATMENT FOR BOTH CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY AND MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, WE FOCUS ON TREATING EACH INDIVIDUAL'S UNDERLYING MENTAL ILLNESS AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROBLEMS AT THE SAME TIME.

ACUTE CARE SERVICES - BRIDGE HOUSE IS A 16 BED LOCKED PSYCHIATRIC FACILITY WHICH SERVES ADULTS OVER AGE 18 WHO ARE EXPERIENCING A MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS. THE ATU IS CAPABLE OF WORKING WITH CLIENTS ON A VOLUNTARY OR NON-VOLUNTARY STATUS. CLIENTS ARE TYPICALLY REFERRED TO THIS LEVEL OF CARE DUE TO THEIR INABILITY TO CONTRACT FOR SAFETY OR DUE TO GRAVE DISABILITY SYMPTOM CRITERIA. THE CRISIS STABILIZATION UNIT (CSU) IS A 15 BED SECURED PSYCHIATRIC FACILITY WHICH SERVES ADULTS OVER AGE 18 WHO ARE EXPERIENCING A MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS. THE MAJORITY OF CLIENTELE IN THE CSU ARE ON A VOLUNTARY STATUS HOWEVER, THE CSU MAY ALSO ACCOMMODATE NON-VOLUNTARY CLIENTS WHO ARE ABLE TO CONTRACT FOR SAFETY WHILE ON THE UNIT. THE WALK-IN CRISIS CENTER IS PART OF THE COLORADO CRISIS SYSTEM. THE WIC SERVES AS A 24/7 WALK-IN CENTER WHERE ANYONE CAN GO WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT TO RECEIVE CRISIS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES AND EVALUATION. THE CO-RESPONDER PROGRAM WORKS WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT ENTITIES TO IDENTIFY INDIVIDUALS WHO NEED CONNECTION TO MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE SERVICES.
