Organizations Filed Purposes: The primary purpose of Homes of Hope, Inc. is to support and fund Homes of Hope - Fiji, a registered charity in the South Pacific. Both organizations were established in 1996 to stop the pervasive, destructive cycles of sexual exploitation, the breakdown of family structure, and the negative effects of poverty throughout the island nation and beyond. US based Homes of Hope, Inc. has been a 501(c)(3) public charity since January 14, 2003.Homes of Hope, Inc. receives tax-exempt donations and operates with a volunteer staff and Board of Directors. As a result, approximately 98% of all donations received directly benefit operations in Fiji. Homes of Hope - Fiji, a nongovernmental organization (NGO) founded on faith-based core values, serves young women and children who are victims of or vulnerable to situations of forced sex, sex trafficking, and child sexual abuse and violence.Through on-site care provided at the Homes of Hope - Fiji campus, residents complete a long-term, restorative pro

Homes of Hope Fiji operates a training institution, a campus residential program, and a community action team. These three efforts combine to give young girls a fresh start in life. Over the years, Homes of Hope Fiji has directly helped over 1,000 girls who are victims and vulnerable to sexual exploitation in all its forms including sexual trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, and child sexual abuse. The campus is in the rainforests of Fiji just minutes from the capital city of Suva, which is the national and regional hub of 15 independent South Pacific nations. In two dormitories and five cottages, young, single mothers and their children live alongside young teens. The campus census ranges from 15-35 girls at any time. Homes of Hope practices trauma-informed care with individualised plans for each survivor. Twenty-three percent (23%) of HoH Fiji income is spent caring for girls living on campus. The young, single mothers and teens are joined by day scholars to attend daily training programs. These programs offer both hard-skill and soft-skill trainings. Our restorative approach is both holistic and long-term. In 2019, we conducted an eleven-month training program totalling approximately 1400 class hours in seven training labs: baking, cooking, food processing, sewing, small livestock, and integrated gardening. In 2019, twenty percent (20%) of the expenses provided funds to conduct three 14-week terms (42 weeks total). Our social work team worked directly with village leadership, families, and victims. Our efforts were concentrated in ten communities to write and enact action plans to protect children and prevent against forced sex. Our outreach team worked in another thirty communities providing awareness of forced sex but also methodically working with large family units for counselling, workshops, and reconciliation. To send teams throughout Fiji to conduct regular meetings cost thirty percent (30%) of our income.
