GREEN BOX ARTS PROJECT IS ORGANIZED TO ENCOURAGE ARTISTS, RESIDENTS AND VISITORS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CREATIVE ARTS IN THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF GREEN MOUNTAIN FALLS, CO. WE ENGAGE OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH PERFORMANCE, EXHIBITIONS, EDUCATION, CONVERSATIONS, CELEBRATIONS AND AN ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM.
More than 17,000 visitors descended on Green Mountain Falls, Colorado population 900 to attend and participate in the 2019 festival and enjoy the Janet Echelman art installation - 1.8 Green Mountain Falls-over two months. Green Box Arts commissioned an original musical composition byJuilliard instructor Eric Ewazen, inspired by the art installation, and presented the world premiere concert at the 2019 festival. The performances by internationally acclaimed ballet, tap, modern and ballroom dancers brought enthusiasts from across the region to the Ute Pass area to enjoy these world class duets. The public art enthralled, performances by dancers were sold out and community workshops were filled to capacity. The Green Box Arts Camp and Green Box Arts Music Camp served close to 100 local elementary students.
