Organizations Filed Purposes:
OUR MISSION IS TO HELP YOUTH REACH THEIR POTENTIAL THROUGH THE SPORT OF ROWING. MHRC ATTRACTS YOUTH FROM ALL OVER THE METRO AREA (PUBLIC/PRIVATE) WHO ARE INTERESTED IN ROWING FOR FUN, FITNESS, AND COMPETITION-AND FOR SOME, TO ROW AND COMPETE AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF THE SPORT. OTHER BENEFITS INCLUDE: PEAK PHYSICAL FITNESS, CHARACTER BUILDING AND CONFIDENCE, FUN TEAM ATMOSPHERE, BEAUTIFUL OUTDOOR VENUE, EXPERIENCED COACHES, EXPOSURE TO A LIFELONG SPORT, AND COLLEGE RECRUITING AND NATIONAL RECOGNITION.
THE MILE HIGH ROWING CLUB (MHRC) WAS FOUNDED IN 2008 TO BE A BROAD-BASED, NONPROFIT COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION, WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO FOSTER LOCAL, NATIONAL, AND INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION IN THE AMATEUR SPORT OF JUNIOR ROWING. OUR GOAL IS TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF ROWING BY PROVIDING APPROPRIATE INSTRUCTION, TRAINING PROGRAMS, AND FACILITIES FOR JUNIOR ROWERS THROUGHOUT THE GREATER DENVER AREA.
2019 ACCOMPLISHMENTS: FINANCIAL STABILITY, NON-PROFIT COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, BOARD SEATS FILLED. 2020 GOALS: MAINTAIN CLUB THROUGH PANDEMIC, THOUGHTFUL FUNDRAISING, SMOOTH PLAN FOR BOARD TRANSITIONS.
