Our mission is to empower orphans & widows affected by HIV & AIDS in Uganda through education, medical care and treatment, spiritual nourishment and entrepreneurship, resulting in self-reliance. Together, we assess quality of life, identify physical, spiritual & social needs & implement innovative strategies to meet these needs within the community. In 2020, we provided 35 high school/college scholarships, built three new homes for widows, provided quality healthcare to 400 women and children with our clinic, and donated dry food to the widows throughout the year during COVID quarantine. Our children learned dramas to go around and travel to educate villages on importance of cleanliness during this pandemic. For Christmas, we delivered food across 40 villages in our new bus from 2019, as well as raised funds to provide a learning center for our children while schools are closed because of COVID-19. In March of 2020 Founder Paul and his wife Edith came to the states for long period of time due to COVID. During their 5 months they were able to share the ROWAN story, focus on their health and develop new ministry focus areas with the co-founder. New widows curriculum was developed, along with several other organizational improvements that could only have happened with time allotment.
