Organizations Filed Purposes:
HSSPV's mission is to be a leader in saving lives and serving communities by providing innovative care for animals, finding loving homes and reuniting families.
Provide shelter, care, medical and behavioral resources to homeless and abandoned animals until they are reunited with their families or successfully placed into new homes. In 2020, HSSPV received 1,000 lost and abandoned companion animals, of those, 461 were from other animal welfare organizations. HSSPV adopted out 703 companion animals, reunited 241 with their families, and placed 39 companion animals with other animal welfare organizations. HSSPV's dog behavior and training program continues to help behaviorally challenged dogs become more adoptable. Our dedicated staff and volunteers spend countless hours interacting with our dogs to ensure they receive the enrichment and support to find their perfect family. HSSPV's cattery encourages cats to socialize with each other as well as with staff and visitors. Both programs have been instrumental in helping animals find new loving homes.
