Organizations Filed Purposes: PROVIDING SUPPORTIVE HOUSING AND PROMOTING STABILITY TO DIVERSE HOMELESS FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS BY UTILIZING COMMUNITY RESOURCES, ADVOCACY, AND LIFE SKILLS TRAINING.

ON ACCOUNT OF THE PANDEMIC, 2020 WAS A DISORIENTING AND CHALLENGING TIME THAT FORCED US TO WORK TOGETHER AND SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER, EVEN FROM AFAR. EARLY IN THE PANDEMIC, STAFF RECOGNIZED IT WOULD BE AN INCREDIBLY CHALLENGING TIME FOR INN RESIDENTS. WE REMAINED STEADFAST IN OUR FOCUS ON THEIR SUCCESS, ADAPTING TO NEW CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES AS THEY AROSE. TO ENSURE RESIDENTS WERE SAFE AND ABLE TO STAY ON THE PATH TO HOUSING STABILITY, WE IDENTIFIED THE NEED FOR INCREASED FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND NEW COVID CONSCIOUS OPERATING PROCEDURES. WITH THE HELP OF GRANT FUNDING AND INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS, WE PROVIDED OVER 25,000 IN RENTAL ASSISTANCE, ACCESS TO TECHNOLOGY FOR ONLINE SCHOOLING, AND INCREASED DEEP CLEANINGS OF BUILDING COMMON AREAS. WE ALSO EXPANDED OUR ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND ALLOWED RESIDENTS TO STAY PAST THEIR 24-MONTH DEADLINE. DESPITE 2020'S CHALLENGES, THE INN BETWEEN MANAGED TO COMPLETE SEVERAL IMPORTANT PROJECTS. THE COLLABORATIVE MICAH HOMES PROJECT AT 9TH AND FRANCIS ST. CONCLUDED IN FEBRUARY, PLACING SIX HOUSEHOLDS IN PERMANENTLY AFFORDABLE HOUSING. IN JUNE, WE PURCHASED OUR SIXTH BUILDING AT 2011 TERRY STREET, ADDING TEN UNITS TO OUR TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM. IN ADDITION TO CAPACITY INCREASES, WE COMPLETED BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS. GRANT FUNDS FROM ENERGY OUTREACH COLORADO ALLOWED FOR ENERGY-SAVING IMPROVEMENTS AT OUR HISTORIC 250 KIMBARK ST. BUILDING. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS (CDGB) ALLOWED US TO REPLACE THE SECOND-STORY WALKWAY AT 1901 TERRY ST. IN 2020, 212 INDIVIDUALS WERE SERVED; 145 ADULTS AND 67 CHILDREN.
