Organizations Filed Purposes:
The purpose of the McKee Foundation is to actively support the pursuit of a community in good health, by bridging the gaps in our communitys wellness. The McKee Foundation supports McKee Medical Center, Fort Collins Banner Health Medical Center and its affiliates. The McKee Foundation accepts restricted and unrestricted annual, major, estate and planned gifts as well as pledges, real property and other gifts.
B.A.B.Y Foundation:The B.A.B.Y. Foundation is a designated fund of the McKee Foundation. An advisoryboard and volunteers raise money through an annual gala to help Northern Coloradosunder-insured families meet their childrens medical expenses. Those struggling to pay for medical care may receive assistance with office visits, procedures, surgeries, medicine and therapies.
Heart Safe Community Initiative: The Heart Safe City designation, supported by the American Heart Association, is a community-wide effort to educate citizens on the dangers of Sudden Cardiac Arrest(SCA). Identifying symptoms, learnings how to administer cardiopulmonaryresuscitation (CPR), and using automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are majorcomponents of the Heart Safe City designation. The designation calls for theplacement of AEDs in public gathering spots throughout the City of Loveland. Nonprofit agencies, churches, youth groups and businesses applied for AEDs and CPR support in 2019 to expand the impact of the Heart Safe Community Initiativethroughout the Loveland and Berthoud, CO area. Further fundraising in 2019 will provide funds for community CPR trainings, tracking software, and supplies for theAEDs. The Heart Safe Community Initiative partners include the Loveland PoliceDepartment, Fire Department, 9-1-1 Services, the Thompson School District, ThompsonValley Emergency Medical Services and Banner Health.
Blue Star Fund:The Blue Star Fund aims to support our veterans by partnering with service organizations to collectively provide for those in our communities who have raised their hand to serve.
