Organizations Filed Purposes:
COMMUNITY GRANTS AND SUPPORT OF COMMUNITY BASED PROGRAMS AND SERVICES. THE WET MOUNTAIN VALLEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION STRENGTHENS TAX EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS AND PROVIDES DONORS WITH CHARITABLE GIVING OPTIONS.
COMMUNITY SERVICE GRANTS TO NON PROFIT AGENCIES THAT SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY IN VARIOUS WAYS AND PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION. THE WET MOUNTAIN VALLEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION WAS FOUNDED IN 1999, AND SINCE THAT TIME HAS DISTRIBUTED OVER $4 MILLION TO JUST OVER 100 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN CUSTER COUNTY. GRANTS AND GIFTS HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO THE ARTS, EDUCATION, RECREATION, HISTORIC PRESERVATION, EMERGENCY SERVICES, HEALTH CARE, LAND CONSERVATION AND RELATED FIELDS OF SERVICE. THE ANNUAL WET MOUNTAIN VALLEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SPIRIT CAMPAIGN IS A PROGRAM OF MATCHING GIFTS AWARDED BY THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION BASED ON INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS TO TAX EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS IN CUSTER COUNTY.
THE REBECCA SAMUELSON FUND FOR THE ARTS. THE WMVCF IS MANAGING THE DISTRIBUTION OF GIFTS PROVIDING FUNDING FOR YOUTH PROGRAMS AND OPPORTUNITES IN THE ARTS BASED ON A GRANT APPLICATION AND REVIEW PROCESS. THE GOAL OF THIS FUND IS TO PROVIDE AN ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS IN CUSTER COUNTY.
