Organizations Filed Purposes:
Dedicated to advancing the practice, science and profession of project management in a conscious and proactive manner through fostering professionalism, quality, education and certification in the profession.
Providing certification classes, discussion and networking forums, educational opportunities, and outreach to the community and businesses, to promote and advance the profession of project management.
Monthly member meetings to provide forum for discussion and education. A presentation on a particular facet of project management or the skills needed to be developed to be a successful project manager is given by a professional in the field. The monthly meeting is attended by as many as 300 persons. Time is provided for networking and doscussion.
Project Management Certification Workshops are generally held once a year. These classes prepare project management professionals for their certification exams. They are attended by approximately 50 to 100 people annually. DUring 2019 no workshops were held. Instead PMI-CC facilitates study groups to assist in passing the exams.
