To transform the lives of at-risk struggling teens through caring relationships and programs that support healthy development on an emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual level.
Through a variety of time-tested and research-based programs, the organization pursues its mission of reaching out to the hearts of youth and facilitating life transformation. 2019-2020 was one of the best years in H2Os history. We worked with more teenagers (446) last year than any year before. Those students together attended H2O programs a total of 4,510 times, which is a 41% increase from the previous year. Through our programs, 61 engaged community members volunteered 1,562 hours of their time to invest in our youth.After months of careful planning and community input, we added 3 additional support programs for middle school students. One of these new middle school students, James, struggled with social anxiety which prevented him from connecting with peers and succeeding at school. When he attended our Real Life support groups, he was able to share how he struggles to socialize with his peers. Our staff facilitated peer support, where other students encouraged James by sharing their own challenges with making friends and how they have coped. From this, James is beginning to understand that he is not alone in his struggles and his self-esteem improves. This is just one example of the many students who are empowered to succeed in life through the support they receive from H2O.
