Organizations Filed Purposes:
Minister to the spiritual needs of people, primarily through the publication of literature consistent with Biblical principles and through grants to other charitable entities.
Publishing Ministry - Print and distribute Christian books, Bibles, periodicals and media products that are theologically consistent with Tyndale House Ministries' (THM) Christian beliefs and have ministry value to Churches and individuals in the US and Canada. During the year, THM published a wide range of such works, including Bibles targeted to various demographic groups, theological books, Christian nonfiction books such as Bible study guides, and books on Christian living (including health, finances, family issues, counseling, education, current events, history, and art). THM also published Christian fiction works, both for adults and for children. THM expects that its published Christian literature will be purchased or read by individuals who are seeking to grow in their Christian faith or are interested in hearing more about Christianity. THM also expects that its works will be used or distributed by churches and other Christian ministry organizations for their spiritual guidance and the spiritual growth of the individuals with whom they are ministering.
Generous Giving - Issue grants to ministries around the world that are involved with Bible translation, literature distribution, leadership training, and humanitarian aid in furtherance of Tyndale House Ministries' (THM) Christian mission. Through grant-making activities, THM built on the long and successful history of grant-making that had been operated by Tyndale House Foundation. THM's grant-making focuses on three main areas of endeavor: (1) Christian literature work both in the USA and in other countries, (2) evangelical Christian endeavors of various types both in the USA and in other countries, and (3) charitable work in the greater Chicago and DuPage County area. During the year, grants were made to other Christian nonprofit organizations whose purposes and activities align with the exempt purposes of THM.
