THESE HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS GATHER AT THE ANNUAL MEETING TO LEARN ABOUT NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND SERVICES, AS WELL AS INTERACT WITH OTHER LEADERS IN THE FIELD OF CARDIOVASCULAR AND PULMONARY REHABILITATION.
CERTIFICATION - AACVPR SPONSORS A CARDIAC AND PULMONARY REHABILITATION PROGRAM CERTIFICATION PROCESS, THE ONLY PEER-REVIEWED ACCREDITATION PROCESS DESIGNED TO REVIEW INDIVIDUAL FACILITIES FOR ADHERENCE TO STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES DEVELOPED AND PUBLISHED BY THE AACVPR AND OTHER PROFESSIONAL SOCIETIES. IN ADDITION, THROUGH AACVPR INDIVIDUAL PROFESSIONALS CAN EARN THE ONLY COMPREHENSIVE PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION IN CARDIAC REHABILITATION: THE CERTIFIED CARDIAC REHABILITATION PROFESSIONAL (CCRP), AS WELL AS A PULMONARY REHABILITATION CERTIFICATE THROUGH A JOINT PROGRAM DEVELOPED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR RESPIRATORY CARE.
ADVOCACY - AACVPR IS A LEADING ADVOCATE FOR THE PRACTICE OF CARDIAC AND PULMONARY REHABILITATION, AND HAS A LONG HISTORY OF CHALLENGING LEGISLATION AND REGULATION THAT NEGATIVELY IMPACTS THE CARE OF PATIENTS. OUR ADVOCACY EFFORTS ARE VARIED TO ENSURE THAT THE INTERESTS OF OUR MEMBERS ARE MADE KNOWN TO A WIDE ARRAY OF DECISION MAKERS. AACVPR'S DAY ON THE HILL BRINGS MEMBERS TOGETHER IN WASHINGTON, D.C. TO MEET WITH ELECTED OFFICIALS. DAY ON THE HILL GIVES AACVPR MEMBERS AN OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH THEIR LEGISLATORS AND LEGISLATIVE STAFFS AS CONSTITUENTS, AS VOTERS AND HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS TO ADVOCATE FOR THEIR PROFESSION.
