The mission of the Arthur Lockhart Resource Institute is to provide Social Services to low and moderate income families through youth development, energy assitance, emergency food services, housing and senior care services. Our goal is to help bridge the digital gap between generation through education and training. The Arthur Lockhart Resource Institute further seeks to provide health and wellness services to under income families and Veterans that include education, testing, followup and creating individualized plan of actions to help families maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The Arthur Lockhart Resource Institute's mission is to provide social services to low to moderate income families in the Austin and West Garfield communities. The programes include youth development, emergency food services, senior care programs and Veteran Support. The Arthur Lockhart Resource Institute provides health and wellness programs that educate and promote healthy life styles.
The Arthur Lockhart Resource Institute distributed emergency food baskets to 4,500 low to moderate individuals. Provided food demonstrations to clients for a healthy lifestyle, Nutrition training, provided health screenings to seniors and wellness checks.
Annual Community Event Festival and parade. Four Hundred and fifty community residents participated in an anti-violence march within a one mile range with floats, marchers, cars and bands. Upon compeltion of the march, the Institute distributed food to more than 450 individuals, distributed 300 back bags filled with school supplies. Produced talent show that encouraged youth participation and community involvement, conducted money management workshop.
Veteran Initiative Program. Provided Services to Veterans and their families to include training and development, housing assistance, social service assistance and monthly workshops. Hosted Veteran Community Meetings for Service providers willing to assist Veterans. Provided counseling in area of mental health and life skills. Served more than 720 meals to veterans supplied more than 1000 care packages to the veteran community.
