The Foundation was organized to foster, promote, support, develop, encourage and maintain charitable activities and vital human and educational services as authorized in its by-laws and the charter of Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.
The Foundation makes grants to organizations, all of which meet the guidelines of the by-laws of the Foundation and the charter of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago. All these organizations are exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3).
