CFA SOCIETY CHICAGO, THE WORLD'S FIRST INVESTMENT ANALYSTS' SOCIETY, IS COMMITTED TO WORKING WITH OUR MEMBERS AND THE INVESTMENT COMMUNITY TO ACHIEVE OUR MISSION THROUGH THREE ORGANIZATIONAL PILLARS: (1) DELIVER MEMBER VALUE: DELIVER INDUSTRY-LEADING EVENTS FOCUSED ON CONTINUING EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. OFFER A RANGE OF NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES TO OUR MEMBERS. IMPLEMENT NEW TECHNOLOGY AND BUILD A DIGITAL CONTENT LIBRARY. (2) DEVELOP FUTURE PROFESSIONALS: MEASURE OUR ENGAGEMENT WITH TOP EMPLOYERS OF CFA CHARTERHOLDERS AND IMPROVE THESE SCORES OVER TIME. BUILD BRAND AWARENESS THROUGH MARKETING, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND PARTNERSHIPS. (3) BUILD MARKET INTEGRITY: SUPPORT FINANCIAL LITERACY IN OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES. BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH LOCAL UNIVERSITIES AND SUPPORT STUDENTS WHO ARE STUDYING FOR OR CONSIDERING THE CFA EXAMS. ENCOURAGE A DIVERSITY OF GENDER, RACE, AND THOUGHT.
CFA SOCIETY CHICAGO AIMS TO LEAD THE INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT AND FINANCIAL SERVICES PROFESSIONS BY PROMOTING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF ETHICS, CONTINUING EDUCATION, AND PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE FOR THE ULTIMATE BENEFIT OF SOCIETY.
SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL EVENTS INCLUDE AN ANNUAL DINNER AND OTHER EVENTS DESIGNED TO FACILITATE NETWORKING AND INTERACTION AMONG THE MEMBERS AND INVESTMENT PROFESSIONALS. OVER 1,182 INVESTMENT PROFESSIONALS REGISTERED TO ATTEND THE ANNUAL DINNER.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO EDUCATE ATTENDEES ON CURRENT ISSUES OF IMPORTANCE IN THE PROFESSION. MEMBERS RECEIVE CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS WITH THE CFA INSTITUTE FOR MOST OF THESE EVENTS. THERE WERE 37 PROGRAMS HELD DURING THE YEAR, WITH OVER 4,973 REGISTERED TO ATTEND.
MEMBER DEVELOPMENT FOCUSES ON ENHANCING THE MEMBERSHIP EXPERIENCE FOR, AND BUILDING A SENSE OF COMMUNITY AMONG, INVESTMENT PROFESSIONALS BY WELCOMING NEW MEMBERS INTO THE SOCIETY AND MAINTAINING A SENSE OF ENGAGEMENT WITH THE SOCIETY THROUGHOUT THE COURSE OF MEMBERS' CAREERS. IT ALSO FOCUSES ON MAINTAINING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CFA SOCIETY CHICAGO AND LOCAL UNIVERSITIES. CFA SOCIETY CHICAGO WORKED WITH LOCAL UNIVERSITIES TO ENGAGE UNDERGRADUTE AND GRADUATE STUDENTS IN THE CFA INSTITUTE RESEARCH CHALLENGE.
